AI refers to the ability of machines to imitate human behavior and intelligence. Early applications of AI include basic assembly line robotics, chatbots, and decision support tools. AI has advanced through computational power, big data, algorithmic designs, machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, and NLP. Today, AI can be utilized in cybersecurity, coding, design, financial forecasting, engineering, product lifecycle, supply chain management, and many other areas.

Strong intelligence is the concept of AI achieving human-like cognitive abilities in various tasks. It focuses on the ability for a computer to perform tasks through reasoning, thinking, emulating, and surpassing the intelligence of humans. There are three categories of strong intelligence: Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI), Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), and Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI).

Today’s most common AI is specialized and not general purpose, called narrow AI (ANI), which performs a specific set of tasks well. ANI uses existing data and statistical techniques to improve its proficiency in specific tasks. For example, machine learning (ML) helps in various fields such as image recognition, voice recognition, and autonomous self-driving cars.

Generative AI focuses on creating new content such as images, text, music, software code, audio, animation, etc., using neural networks techniques. GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) belongs to generative AI, it is based on generative modern language reinforcement learning from human feedback, developed by OpenAI. GPT belongs to transformer models, which process sequential data like text. GPT models are pre-trained on large corpora of text data using unsupervised learning techniques. The GPT series of models are designed to be able to generate human-like text, and understand and interpret natural language. There are currently four versions of GPT software: GPT-1, released by OpenAI in 2018, GPT-2 in 2019, GPT-3 in 2020, and the most recent version, GPT-4.

GPT is software used to create content based on user-provided prompts, which may include questions, narratives, or suggestions.
